Giving Thanks...

Well it's been several weeks since my handmade soaps were posted on Martha's Stewarts website~So, I'd say a "thank-you" is do to the staff at Martha Stewart Living... I knew I wanted to send a thank you gift. That was the easy part-the hard part was the "where" to send it.

So, after tons of emails, with no response- I finally picked up my latest issue of Martha Stewart Living, browsed the editorials for a phone number. To my surprise-it worked! Within an hour of leaving Elizabeth Smyth a message-she emailed me! A short note with an address and the making of a thank- you gift was on it's way!

A basket that could easily be recycled~ stuffed with an assortment of handmade soaps, Lavender Grace linen spray, some bath sea salts, and washing cloths. I chose a wrought iron cottage garden basket to send the goodies in. Before it was sent, I was determined to take a pic of the completed basket. With little light outside under the willow, I packed up my "staging" and took it inside the soap kitchen.

Gosh- nothing was working-the lighting, the setting~ I was going bonkers! Usually picture taking is easy~ so several dozen pics later~ the shots weren't perfect, but enough was enough...after loading the film into the computer, loading the 11lbs. of contents, printed the shipping label...the box was sealed. Now I wait~ and hope the box is opened, and the thank you note is read, and the goodies are shared. Well see....

Beautiful packaging and the products are certainly going to be enjoyed. I loved the soaps my sister sent as I mentioned, I have already used most of them. They also make my bathroom smell like a strawberry patch. Good luck to you Gigi! Keep us posted, as we all loved that you were featured on Martha's web site. Woohoo!

Dear Rosemary~ Thanks for the comment~ we'll see if it helps, and if not at least it was fun appearing on MS.

Dear Jessie~ I am glad you like the Strawberry Fields soap, it smells so dreamy when it is made. I will certainly post any "happenings" that may come along...we'll see if I hear from MS when the package arrives. It would be nice, but I can't imagine I will.

Anne-Marie~ The tracking order says "delivered", and of course it would be nice to hear something back. I will post if anything comes through. Thank you for your support!

Thank you Ginger, sending a thank-you gift seemed like the right thing to do. Again, to my surprise my soaps are still running on her website now for the 5th week, & I don't know how long they were there before I found out. I will keep everyone posted if MS staff lets me know they received the package...(tracking states the package arrived on Friday, but hearing from them my take a while if ever...) we'll see.
