Wedding Countdown...Two Weeks

The wedding is two weeks away-SO WHY did I have the urge to clean out my clothes closet? It's not like I don't have a millon other things to do...but somehow it just makes my life easier IF I can find everything in my closet...And maybe it's because "company is coming..." but on the other hand- I know NOT ONE person is going to go into my closet...so why? Because if someone DID up in my closet-- I might not be able to find them... and they might miss the wedding.

That's me getting ready to be married. My cousin Elizabeth looks in & my mom can be seen in the mirror.

In the back corner of my closet, tucked away for thirty some years, was my wedding dress. Pretty and white just like the day it was worn. I only have a few wedding pictures...Our photographer lost the negatives...so only a handful have surfaced from snaps here and there... And I will keep it...perhaps one of my granddaughters will want to wear the "Romeo & Juliet" style that was popular in the 70's---okay it was later 70's... HEY- doesn't everything come back in style? Yes, I think I'll hold on to the dress--you never know. (sigh)

My "Buddy" for the last thirty some years...

What a great wedding picture! You make such a nice couple.I am sure no one will look in your closet but at least you will fill more organized. I will be checking in on the count down.
Happy Mothers day,

Beautiful dress and such a sweet picture. You made me think of my wedding dress... I'm embarrassed to say I have no idea where I put it :( Thanks for sharing your pictures.

Hey Carrie, your wedding dress looks just like mine. Your head dress is similar too.

Love the photos.

God bless.

Oh how young and beautiful you look! I was also married in the late seventies and had that style dress inc. the high as possible neckline. How beautiful!
